The departure was from Circular Quay, very convenient for us as it was only a short train trip from Stanmore to the city.
After going through the booking in process on to the Norwegian Jewel and customs we settled into our cabin which overlooked Circular Quay and the Sydney Opera House.
The view was amazing, from what was essentially the top of a 10 story building.

As we left the dock and cruised towards the Heads along Sydney Harbour, the view was amazing. We had a completely different view from waht we were used to, normally at sea level. We were essentially looking at the foreshores of the harbour from what was essentially the top of a 10 story building.
